So much on in Bright over April and May!
The Bright Autumn festival and school holidays are coming up…this is one of the best times to come to Bright.
We still have beautiful mild weather and the leaves are starting to change colour, making Bright perfect for a break away.
You can practice your photo taking skills, ride with the family along the bike paths, go fishing, paddle in the river (if you are game), or enjoy our heated swimming pool.
These are just a few of the things you can do, but there is also lots going on in Bright around this time.
If you love your Beer, you can choose to be a Brewer For A Day at Bright Brewery, the next one is on 3 May. This experience gives you a hands on role, brewing one of Bright Brewery’s Mountain Crafted beers during a real brew day. If these dates don’t work you can organise a tour with the Bright Brewery.
You may also be interested in 8 Brews in 8 Days, this is from 3 - 10 May where you can join the high country brewers for an intimate and in-depth tour of each brewery.
For all the runners out there, there is the Buffalo Stampede from 12 - 14 April. This is a running challenge for all ages, there are even set courses so the kids can get involved.
Or the Bright Fun Run on 28 April, a fun family activity where you can choose to walk or run and there are road or trail events of different lengths.
Over Easter, there is the Bright Easter Market and the Make it, Bake it Grow it Market on Saturday 20 April.
The Bright Autumn Festival is from Friday 26 April to Sunday 5 May.
Some of the stand out Autumn Festival activities are:
Open Gardens - There are 14 gardens you can visit to get inspiration for your own garden or simply to enjoy the spectacular autumn colours.
The Wandi Nut Festival - is on 27 April. This is a family friendly event. There are market stalls, with local produce; cooking demonstrations by local chefs; live music, and so much more. There are also activities for children, including a petting zoo and face painting for children.
Gala Day - is the high point of Bright Autumn Festival, falling this year on Saturday 4 May. There is the Bright Rotary Market with loads of stalls, food vendors and live music, followed by the Gala Parade.
And if you are a photography buff, the Bright Autumn Instameet is held from 27 to 29 April. Places are limited for this, so if you are interested, you need to get in quick.
We’d love to see you here in Bright, so visit us soon. And if you can make it over the school holidays or over the festival period, it is worth it, to come and see all the wonderful Bright Autumn colours.
