Whether you are camping, caravanning, booking a cabin, or just visiting to go to the snow, here are some tips to help keep you warm!
If you're off to the snow
Invest in some thermals
Take a thermos – so you can warm up with a hot drink
And don’t forget the snacks, all that snow play can make you hungry
Invest in some disposable heat packs to keep you warm through the day (and night)
Travel with extra blankets
Be sure to have waterproof boots that have some grip, otherwise you will be slipping everywhere and there is nothing worse that cold, wet feet
Make sure you have good snow gear and gloves that will keep you dry and warm
Always make sure you take the sunscreen – as you can get quite burnt if not careful
Have sunglasses for everyone as it helps with the glare
And don’t forget the chains
If you are brave and tenting… (BRRR)
Always pack a hot water bottle
Make sure you have a good sleeping bag
A sleeping bag liner can give you extra warmth
Have a sleeping mat under your bed (two if you can) ...to help with insulation
Be prepared to spoon 😊 …or just book a cabin...and stay real cosy
The snow is always spectacular and definitely worth a visit, even if it's just to take in the scenery or have some fun with the kids.
